The "twisty" handle is formed when honeysuckle grows around a tree branch for many years and creates this lovely design. The honeysuckle is cut away, leaving the hard wood branch below.

Honeysuckle is a very vigorous climber and becomes thicker and woody with age and therefore shapes the tree branch very nicely, making a perfect walking stick handle!
